I Iove being a massage therapist it has been a passion of mine since I was 18, and I know that a good massage treatment can make a huge difference in the lives of so many people, whether it be a Sports related injury, general tension in your neck, shoulders and lower back or just the fact that you want to unwind and relax after a busy week.
I am sure I can help with whatever concern you have, and if I can't or it is out of my training, I can refer you to other natural therapy practitioners in the local area.
Please note: A lymphatic massage is generally a 1.5hr massage and covers the full lymphatic system. This massage is applied lightly without oil, so it does not hurt and is very relaxing. It can be combined with other styles of massage including deep tissue massage.
For further clarification and information on any of the above treatments, please don't hesitate to give me a call.
I am a full member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapist (AAMT) which is a not-for-profit organisation formed in 2003 and is a leading representative body for massage therapists nationwide.
I started in 1994 and completed my certificate 3 in therapeutic massage. I then went through to complete my certificate in sports massage and sports injury management.
From there I worked in a clinic for 5 years in Brisbane city, where I gained invaluable experience as a therapist and an understanding and appreciation for the diversity of people of all ages and backgrounds.
In 1999 I decided to take some leave from massage therapy and gain experience in other forms of work.
After travel, children and meeting my future husband, I made the decision to get back into the natural therapies industry, and in the beginning of 2008; I decided to renew my certificates, followed by the completion of my diploma of remedial massage in 2009.

I've had acute lower back pain for 10 years and have struggled to find anyone that can help relief the pain. On Jan 26 (AU Day) while packing up the camp site my back went into spasm and I was transported to Tweed Heads Hospital where I spent 5 days recovering. 10 weeks later with very little improvement from the day I was released, my partner talked me into going to see Maggie for a massage as she had been getting massages from Maggie for a few months. I had been to lots of different massages, chiropractic (didn't work) over the years and didn't rate them at all. I was taking pain medication 2-4 times a day and found it very hard to get up in the morning and do the drive to work for 40mins. After my first massage (30min) from Maggie I couldn't believe the improvement. The following morning was the first day in 11 weeks I got out of bed with no back pain and drove to work comfortably and got out of the Ute with no pain. I can’t put a price on that feeling after suffering for so long. I was impressed with her knowledge and understanding of the human body, muscles, tendons, release and pressure points. I finally thought I had found a professional who knew what she was doing. Over the following few visits I had improved movement, reduce pain levels and started to heal and the acute pain was gone. I continue to go to Maggie for what I call maintenance massages each month to stay on top of my lower back pain which has changed my quality of life and life style as I can do so much more.
Thank you Maggie for your professionalism, customer care and service I can’t thank you enough. I rate Maggie's approach, care & service, 10/10 and will continue to see her each month.
